Active interest
is taken in the extension of scientific knowledge and techniques to
the community around and to the rural and weaker sections. So that
science based income generating ventures could be started by them.
In this endeavour, the members of the technology transfer projects
undertaken by the GRD Trust' s centre for research in social
sciences, technology and culture.(CRSTC). A member of faculty, Mrs.A.Malarvizhi
is the co-investigator of DST sponsored project."setting up a
resource centre for training and support in income generation
venture based on science and technology inputs for rural women of
Nammakkal District" under the "extension and technology
