Dr.D.Padmanaban, son of the Founder is a Doctorate in Management, is a distinguished educationist - entrepreneur of Coimbatore, who has built up the several institutional units of the Trust to their present levels of pre-eminence. He is the Director of the Centre for Research in Social Sciences, Technology & Culture of the Trust, Chief Editor of the trust's scientific monthlies WIDE SPECTRUM and KALAIKATHIR, and Correspondent of the Educational institutions of the Trust. As Member Secretary of the Steering Committee of the IGNOU sponsored Gyan Vani Educational FM Radio (Coimbatore) Station and as head of the partner institution - Dr. G R Damodaran College of Science, he manages the Radio Station. Dr.D.Padmanaban is a member of several national-level committees including the National Advisory Committee, Science & Technology Entrepreneur's Parks (STEP) of the DST, Govt. of India, Planning Board of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) (Visitor's Nominee), Faculty Selection Committee of the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) (Visitor's Nominee), Shillong, Senate of the Bharathiar University, Coimbatore (Chancellor's Nominee), Research Council of IGNOU, etc.
