FROM THE CORRESPONDENT’S DESK

Our Former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam has said – Small aim is a crime. We, the GRD School community, shall aim for the stars... and we shall achieve it too.

Eminent educationist Dr G R Damodaran‘s passion was education. He saw to it that Coimbatore figured high on the education map of India. GRD was happiest when he was with his students, happy when they succeeded. Running institutions bearing his name, we dedicate and commit ourselves to his ideals and dreams for education and Coimbatore.

We want children to do more than just learn. We want them to think and use that thinking to impact the world. It is our duty to inculcate positive values in our children. When we do this – each of them will be a winner in life. With the advent of TV and internet – the habit of reading has taken a back seat. It would really help if parents support us in our efforts to actively promote reading. Every GRDian is groomed to be a progressive global citizen – carrying forward the rich legacy and ethos of the institution.

We need to work together – School and parents…. To scale greater heights..
